It's been a week I am here, and I still have a lot of things to do ... Let's make a list here:
- find a flat
-buy a car
-buy a visa for India
-have a fight with my French bank 'cause my VISA card does not work everywhere !
-write emails to people to tell them I am in Spain
-buy a dictionary (urgent)
-buy a bottle of wine for the birthday party of the cousin of a friend ... I don't know the cousin, but I am invited !
So, as you can see, a number of things to buy ! Not really easy with non contract ! Also, I opened a bank account last week and should have received the credit card and other secret codes by now ... I told them to send them to the university, but I am afraid my mail was deleted as I am not officially employed there yet :-( CRAP ! I hope they are not gonna remove the money I transfered from Austria and keep it for some mysterious reason ....
Concerning the flat thing, hum, a friend was supposed to help me phone this afternoon, but he disappeared somewhere ... This morning, Pablo told me I had to leave by next friday, sniff sniff ... I sent several emails yesterday and today, but was not very lucky ! I would love to have a flat before the weekend though !
Concerning the car, my new boss (let's call him BigBoss) told me he loved buying used car for a very cheap price. He love reading the posters and calling people. I thus gave him the newspaper I bought yesterday, and he probably is playing finding me a car ... How wonderful is that ? well, I'll tell you when I know more :-) |
