Angie just told me that shootings on my former university, Virginia Tech made 22 confirmed casualties this morning. Apparently, there were two different sets of shootings (dunno if it's the same guy) in two different dorms ...
This tendency for shooting innocent people in high schools and universities leaves me speechless. I of course do not understand how someone can do that. But the thing is that even if movies are made (Columbine), people say this should not and will not happen again ... well, it happens over and over again, and it seems to me that the number of casualties is also increasing. Maybe there is too much advertising (news) about this ... and crazy young people take it as a challenge... A bit like crazy French young people think it is a challenge to burn a car or kill a policeman! The world is going crazy !!
Anyways, when I was at VT, I was feeling safe, I would never have imagined that such a thing could actually happen in MY university. Well, now, it has happened and I am very sad. I also feel very sorry for the families ... |
