In Spain, they like to adapt people's names and color them with local accent, spelling, order ... It's how my first name changed from Caroline to Carolina, my middle name grabbed an A on the way too and my third name was truncated and became my last name ! lol Of course, what they actually wanted to do is to give me two last names, but as I have only one, they just shuffled my three first names instead.
The funny thing is that they changed the name of my dog too. His real name is "Ouessant", which is the name of an Island in Brittany. The closest they managed to get in Spanish is "Hueso". He was thus renamed "Hueso" at the dog's pension ... and hueso actually means bone :-) Not too bad for a dog if you want my opinion ! lol
Depuis son retour du chenil, il dort, dort et dort. Ce matin, quand je me suis levee a 11h, il a pousse un grognement de mecontentement. Il voulait visiblement dormir plus, mais en ouvrant la porte, un rayon de soleil a frappe son museau ! lol Bon il se ratrappe depuis :-) Et puis la, il est a la maison, et un canape vaut mieux qu'une pauvre cage, n'est ce pas :-)
