The last 10 days have been pretty hectic and busy as it was the Interceltic Festival of Lorient (FIL in French), and I was an interpreter again this year. See, I'm in English mode now, and it will prolly last for some time. The festival is over and it's so depressing to see everyone go home. My Cornish folks left last Sun and Mon. My cousins are leaving tomorrow. Sniff sniff...
Before the festival, we did our dance show at Kemen Tu, Festival de Cornouailles. Here is a pic of me with one of my fellow dancers !
The name of my group is "boked er lann" and that means "bouquet of heather" which is really funny as the dance group from Cornwall I was an interpreter for is named "kekezza" from the Cornish word "heather". Destiny ? lol Anyhow, we have very different costumes but with the very same colors, ranging from purple to violet :-)
Feelings-wise, the end of the festival is weird. Usually, I'm the one leaving, not staying. So it feels like I was in Cornwall, left, and my heart stayed on the other side of the see. Pretty weird. Conclusion ? I shall fly to Cornwall some day !!! :-)
Tomorrow we will be heading to Le Croisic for another festival and we will perform both our old and new shows.
