Yesterday, the broken water pipe of my bathtub was finally repaired, which was nice. Yesterday evening, we had a thunderstorm. Yesterday night, we had a storm, but I suppose the thunderstorm came back at some point, very silent though as I could only hear the wind.
For some reason, I did not sleep well last night. So, from time to time, I would go on the Internet, verify something I have just been thinking of or looking for job offers. At a moment, the Internet disconnected. As it was very very windy outside, I tested the phone: no line ! Shit ! After a few minutes, the Internet came back. I tested the phone, still no line. I got up, tested the other phone linked to the same base, did not work as well. I found it was weird to have Internet and no phone, so I plugged the other phone in the other plug: it was working. Then I plugged the other phone in the main plug: it was working too. Conclusion: the fucking thunderstorm destroyed my phone. The power probably fell on a phone line and not on an electricity line as there was no electricity cut and nothing else died in the house, as far as I can tell.
When going to work, some people were repairing a high tension electricity line close to my place. For once, I was sort of lucky, I just lost the phone, not the electricity :-)
