Et paf la main !

What's new ? Well, I managed to hurt my hand pretty bad ! It went through a glass door and I cut a tendon, got surgery, and now have a plaster for 4 to 6 weeks. More info next Mon.

The summer vacation is almost over. Weather is perfect at the moment, warm and sunny. Too bad I can't swim... nor work on the house, drive, fly, dance... pffft... I feel very stupid at the moment !

A bit bored at the moment. I have some work to do, but the medication I'm taking makes me sleepy. Last pill tonight, I should feel better soon.

What else ? Hum, I'm starting to think about the halloween murder mystery. I have a few ideas so far, but nothing as good as the previous years. It will be easier when I know who comes and who doesn't, especially if we have English-only speakers or not. I'd like to have my schedule for the semester before I send out the invitations though, and that would be great to have it before the semester starts too ! lol

FIL and other Breton stuff...

Mercredi 15 Aožt 2012 à 0:14:22

The last 10 days have been pretty hectic and busy as it was the Interceltic Festival of Lorient (FIL in French), and I was an interpreter again this year. See, I'm in English mode now, and it will prolly last for some time. The festival is over and it's so depressing to see everyone go home. My Cornish folks left last Sun and Mon. My cousins are leaving tomorrow. Sniff sniff...

Before the festival, we did our dance show at Kemen Tu, Festival de Cornouailles. Here is a pic of me with one of my fellow dancers !

The name of my group is "boked er lann" and that means "bouquet of heather" which is really funny as the dance group from Cornwall I was an interpreter for is named "kekezza" from the Cornish word "heather". Destiny ? lol Anyhow, we have very different costumes but with the very same colors, ranging from purple to violet :-)

Feelings-wise, the end of the festival is weird. Usually, I'm the one leaving, not staying. So it feels like I was in Cornwall, left, and my heart stayed on the other side of the see. Pretty weird. Conclusion ? I shall fly to Cornwall some day !!! :-)

Tomorrow we will be heading to Le Croisic for another festival and we will perform both our old and new shows.
